Peppermint is shown not to be safe for pregnant women topically. Can you explain why it's in this?

We have had all of our products approved by OBGYNs that they are safe for pregnancy and safe for breastfeeding. Each product will say if it is safe for this period or not on the product page. Our Indulge sugar scrub is safe for pregnancy & breastfeeding. I reached out to our skincare specialist and they said that the sugar scrub has never been known to be an issue and is in a less than 1% of peppermint in the formula. I would suggest asking your OB or pediatrician since all moms are different and your MD would be the best person to ask.

I have read that peppermint is an essential oil to avoid during pregnancy and can dry up breast milk.  Can you shine some light on this? Needing a scrub but wanting to stay safe.

Can you use this stretch mark scrub on your face?

Many moms love using Indulge Sugar Scrub on their face and it is a staff fave to use as a lip scrub. All of the ingredients are deemed safe; however, we understand that every Mamas skin is different. Please feel free to use it on your face per your discretion and keep in mind that the peppermint may cause a tingling sensation (which I personally love).
