HOW TO USE

Using lukewarm water, wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Spritz toner on a cotton pad and apply over a clean face and neck. Allow to dry and pump a pea-sized amount of Rehab acne serum and apply to face and where ever else you are experiencing hormonal acne. Use once a day or repeat twice a day, morning and night. For best results, use an SPF 30+ each day.

Tips:

If pregnancy hormones are giving you unsightly acne or you were using acne medications pre-pregnancy, a pregnancy-safe acne serum and toner should be implemented into your pregnancy skincare routine to give you clear skin ASAP.
Spritz acne toner over mineral makeup to help set finish.
Always apply pregnancy serums before moisturizers, to allow serum to penetrate skin first.
The acne treatment serum may increase your skin sensitivity to the sun, particularly the possibility of sunburn.
Use sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this pregnancy acne product, and for a week after.

How long does it usually take for you to notice results? I have acne on my chin and jawline. I’m in my first trimester and my acne is the worst it’s ever been.

Great question Sunny. Results typically vary for each person. Depending on the type of acne and severity, our mild formulas may take a bit longer to see results. In my personal experience, I saw results within a couple of days. If you are using this product in combination with others, I suggest trying to use one regimen at a time to see what is and is not working.

We suggest alternating the 2 serums: Rehab & Lucid - one in AM and another in PM:

Using lukewarm water, wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Spritz BalaC toner on a cotton pad and apply over a clean face and neck. Allow to dry and pump a pea-sized amount of Rehab serum and apply to face and where ever else you are experiencing hormonal acne. Repeat toner in evening and follow with Lucid serum (AM or PM).

the rehab acne treatment has 5% retinol which is not safe during pregnancy also 5% is very high concentration is this correct!

Retinyl palmitate: While our Rehab Serum contains retinol, it is far below the quantity that would make it harmful to you or your baby. The FDA has approved its use during pregnancy as long as the quantity applied does not exceed 700 to 800 IU vitamin A per kg daily. Please feel free to view this information that I pasted below for your convenience. Since our Rehab serum contains only 0.5% retinol, it would not exceed the recommended limit if applied as a spot treatment to the face.

I have also gotten in contact with our skincare specialist. She referenced this booklet (https://www.fda.gov/downloads/scienceresearch/specialtopics/womenshealthresearch/ucm135376.pdf) from the FDA Office of Women’s Health. According to Dr. Margaret Miller, the OWH Science Program Director, “research showed no evidence that the product retinyl palmitate was absorbed when applied to the skin. Therefore, the product was not a threat...” I have attached that page for your reference.

The World Health Organization (http://apps.who.int/iris/bitstream/handle/10665/63838/WHO_NUT_98.4_eng.pdf;jsessionid=322B621798F62C8CE49332C51E73DA6A?sequence=1) also states that "health benefits are expected for the mother and her developing fetus with little risk of detriment to either, from a daily supplement not exceeding 10,000 IU [preformed] vitamin A (3000 µg RE) at any time during pregnancy."
