Does this belly oil only work for the tummy or can you use it on the buttocks?
It can be applied to all stretch mark-prone areas (tummy, hips, breasts, thighs, anywhere you feel like you’re growing) in the afternoon, evening, or both. The Tummy Butter and Bump Gloss are recommended to be used together, plus each contains oils proven to help aid in stretch mark prevention and fading of scars.

Is this product safe to use while pregnant?
All of our products are made specifically for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding moms. You can trust all of our ingredients have been carefully selected just for you during this wonderful time. Tummy Butter is one of our best sellers for expectant mamas and is perfectly safe to use! We always suggest that you check the ingredients of a cream or oil and discuss its safety with your obstetrician before using it. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to take or email our ingredient list to your OB to discuss further.
What's the difference between tummy butter and oil? Which one is better?
We may be biased but both products are great at what they do. They can be used separately but are also great together. The Tummy Butter is a cream that comes in a jar. The Bump Gloss is an oil that comes in a bottle. To help prevent stretch marks, we recommend Tummy Butter & Bump Gloss stretch mark oil. Tummy Butter can be applied to all stretch mark prone areas (tummy, hips, breasts, thighs, anywhere you feel like you’re growing) in the afternoon, evening, or both.
Tummy Butter and Bump Gloss are recommended to be used together (bundle & save), plus each contains oils proven to help aid in stretch mark prevention and fading of scars. Keep in mind your application process will depend on what fits in your schedule. If you do start feeling like you have an itchy tummy apply the belly butter or if your skin starts to feel dry later in the day apply the butter or oil.
We recommend using the Bump Gloss oil in the morning (to all areas mentioned above if needed) while still wet in the shower (be careful it can make the shower floor slippery). Since it is an oil - a little goes a long way but you want to make sure that while massaging any oil or butter in you do so gently but keep in mind that the 'massaging' is what will bring blood flow to the surface and this will also help aid in stretch mark prevention.
If you are early in your pregnancy, you may not require a lot of either product. As you grow, you will need to apply the butter and/or oil at least 2x's daily to prevent the appearance of stretch marks. Most of our clients (depending on singletons or multiples you are carrying) usually purchase a small amount in the beginning stages and a larger amount later, and this can last throughout your entire pregnancy.
Does this work after pregnancy?
Yes! If you are looking for a good stretch mark oil or belly butter, our Tummy Butter and Bump Gloss have shown great results for the best stretch mark removal of existing and postpartum stretch marks and scars. Every mama is different - many factors are involved. It can depend if yours are still red or purple, have they been exposed to the sun, etc. Please keep in mind that stretch marks are permanent scars and will never completely go away but they can fade into almost invisible silvery lines. Again, each individual is different and we encourage you to try samples if you are unsure how your skin may react. Please also feel free to read our reviews here: https://www.thespoiledmama.com/pages/reviews.
Does this belly cream work on African American skin as well? I noticed your Tummy Butter description says red stretch marks.
Absolutely, our products are made for all Mamas! Our influencer, Ebbie Drayton (@naturallyehhalo on Instagram), loves our Tummy Butter, and she is stretch mark-free! Take a look at her glowing belly in her recent post here: http://bit.ly/2GL8EiR
Why are these pregnancy products so expensive? I get they have organic ingredients and are safe for pregnancy.
We understand that our product prices range in the high end. We ONLY use only the finest ingredients we can source. Each product contains oils that are proven to help heal your skin. For example, our Tummy Butter and Bump Gloss each contain significant amounts of Seabuckthorn oil that are known to help with growing/stretching skin. This oil alone is over $1,000 for a gallon. Another favored oil in our products is Tamanu oil. This oil is cold-pressed to make a greenish-yellow oil. It takes 100 kilograms of tamanu fruit, the amount that one tree produces annually, to yield just 5 kilograms of cold-pressed oil!
These are only 2 of the cold-pressed oils that we use in our products. We also practice responsible manufacturing, source ingredients ONLY from sustainable farmers, and use recyclable packaging.
Even our shipping peanuts are made from biodegradable potato starch, so we can help ensure a brighter future for generations to come. In addition, our proprietary pregnancy skincare products are WITHOUT harsh preservatives, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, parabens, sulfates, and other icky toxins. I hope this helps give you insight as to why our products may cost more than Palmers Cocoa Butter or something else on the market. It is similar to why organic veggies and fruit cost more, or why a bottle of wine can cost more than another.
Will this product work if I already have stretch marks from a previous pregnancy? But do not want to add more stretch marks if possible this pregnancy.
Tummy Butter and ReModel have shown great results for existing and postpartum stretch marks and scars. Every mama is different - many factors are involved. It can depend if yours are still red or purple, they have been exposed to the sun, etc. Please keep in mind that stretch marks are permanent scars and will never completely go away but they can fade into almost invisible silvery lines. Are your pregnancy products gluten-free?
Our Bump Gloss is GLUTEN-FREE and we consider it the best stretch mark removal oil. Tummy Butter and Indulge Body Polish do not contain any gluten products; however, they are manufactured in the same facility that manufactures products that do contain gluten. Please feel free to print the ingredients list from the product page to take or fax to your healthcare provider to see if this would be safe for you to use.
Does this have a strong fragrance? I’m so nauseous I can’t stand smells right now but need to start using a stretch mark cream. I started using Palmers cocoa butter but it is too strong.
If you are sensitive to smells like this, you may want to try our Bump Gloss Stretch Mark Oil by itself, which is lightly scented with calming lavender oil. Please keep in mind that moms who are in their first trimester experience morning sickness and have aversions to smell; however, once most mamas move into the second and third trimesters, their sensitivity to smell decreases.
I notice there are oils, botanicals, lavender etc in some of the products. I was warned against using essential oils while pregnant. Is there a difference in what is used in these products?
You are such a savvy shopper. Each of our products is toxin-free and safe for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Each product was developed by nurses and OB/GYNs. For our stretch mark oil we use True lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) in a very small percentage in our Bump Gloss stretch mark oil. However, each pregnancy is different and even though our products are made with organic ingredients, we recommend you check in with your doctor and be advised that the information here should never replace your doctor's advice. We encourage you to print the product ingredients from the product page to take to your OB/GYN or pediatrician for their opinion on what they feel is best for you and your baby.
Can this be used on the breast? I’m 7 months and stretch marks are appearing on my breast. They are purple at the moment
All of our products are made specifically for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding moms. You can trust that all of our ingredients have been carefully selected just for you during this beautiful time.
It is safe to use wherever you are growing; however, we recommend *not* placing it directly on your nipples before breastfeeding.
Would the tummy butter and stretch mark oil work well for overweight people with stretch marks that are not pregnant?
First, you are beautiful! Although our products are made with Mamas in mind, anyone who'd love to use toxin-free skincare can definitely use our products. Please remember that it works best for new (reddish/purplish) stretch marks. Feel free to check out Remodel Serum, some Mamas use both after pregnancy for maximum stretch mark fading results.
Can this be used for something like weight loss or is it just for pregnancy? I’m on a major weight loss journey and have over 100lbs to lose and am already seeing stretch marks. Wondering if this will help my shrinking body or is it only for growing bodies?
Awesome question! Although our products are marketed towards pregnant women, anyone who loves toxin-free skincare can use our products. Many moms use our products postpartum as their bodies are shrinking. We hope you give us a try and congrats on your weight loss journey!
I’ve used the gloss but wondering if I also need the belly butter. What does the stretch mark combo do?
Tummy Butter and Bump Gloss are recommended to be used together because each product contains oils proven to help aid in stretch mark prevention and fading of scars. Tummy Butter in particular works wonders for itchiness.
I'd like to purchase the trio as a gift for my pregnant wife but she isn't particularly fond of certain smells. Is the scent of this really potent?
This is a great question! The Indulge Body Polish smells like peppermint vanilla, Tummy Butter has a 'chocolate orange' scent, and Bump Gloss is lightly scented with calming lavender.
Is this product safe for use on the breast while breastfeeding?
It is safe to use on your breasts during pregnancy and once your baby is born, it is safe for you and your baby while breastfeeding. We recommend not to place it on your nipples prior to breastfeeding. You can certainly use it everywhere else and can place it on your nipples after breastfeeding to help with healing. However, if you notice that while breastfeeding that your nipples become dry and cracked, we recommend our 100% Organic Nipstick, which is a salve that melts on contact and also doubles as an excellent diaper rash ointment. All ingredients are safe for ingestion and lanolin-free, so it does not need to be washed off prior to nursing.
Will this tummy cream and oil work well on old postpartum stretch marks?
Tummy Butter and ReModel Serum are perfect for new, existing and postpartum stretch marks and scars. Together they promote collagen and elastin levels to increase cell regeneration. This results in firmer skin with greater elasticity and helps fade recent pregnancy and postpartum stretch marks and scars.
Are your scars still red or purple? Have they been exposed to the sun?
If they are red or purple our products may help make a significant difference. Many moms also say that our Tummy Butter has improved older stretch marks as well.
For new (purple, reddish in color) stretch marks, Spoiled Mama’s Tummy Butter, Bump Gloss and ReModel Stretch Mark Serum are recommended to be used together (each contains ingredients proven to help aid in the fading of existing scars and stretch marks). The Tummy Butter and Bump Gloss can be applied over the Remodel Stretch Mark Serum all over affected areas* in the afternoon, evening or both as your tummy begins to shrink and tighten.
Can you still use this after pregnancy? Will these products can get rid of stretch marks after pregnancy?
You definitely don't have to be pregnant to use our toxin-free skincare. Here are a couple of products we specifically recommend for existing/postpartum stretch marks:
Bump Gloss belly oil, Tummy Butter and ReModel stretchmark serum are perfect for Postpartum Stretch Marks and Scars. Together they promote collagen and elastin levels to increase cell regeneration. This results in firmer skin with greater elasticity and helps fade recent pregnancy and postpartum stretch marks and scars.
